- PI: Dr. Francesca Reggiani – Cancer Immunology Unit Environment The Translational Research Laboratory is a multifunctional unit that aims to deepen knowledge of the molecular mechanisms involved in oncological pathologies, starting from information in the genome of cancer and microenvironment cells to combined functional genomics approaches. The main expertise available in the Lab is molecular and cellular biology, functional genomics, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. The Cancer Immunology Unit, coordinated by Dr. Reggiani, is committed to deciphering the transcriptomics
- and epigenetics-related mechanisms driving immune cell responses in solid tumors. Type of position PreDoc/PostDoc position for 2 years, renewable for additional years Required or preferred skills
· MSc/PhD in Bioinformatics or related disciplines is mandatory
· Established experience in the processing and analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq)
· Proficiency in R and/or Python environments for genomic data analyses
· The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, capable of independently executing computational analyses
· Good teamwork skills
· Excellent communication skills and fluent English

Job description
The successful candidate will join Dr.
Reggiani team to clarify the complex transcriptional network priming Natural Killer anti-tumor immunity in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) patients. The project is a translational research study, involving cell lines and patient-derived samples. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with the Medical Oncology and Pathology Units of the AUSL-IRCCS Hospital. The project foresees the application of state-of-the-art approaches in the study of the tumor microenvironment and functional genomics, including CRISPR-based techniques, organoids, multi-omics analysis, and Digital-Spatial Profiling. The candidate will be responsible for the NGS analyses (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq) foreseen in the project, including RNA-seq and ChIP-seq, as well as single-cell Multiome analysis in patient-derived samples in collaboration with the University of Milan. The position is funded by the FIS2 Starting Grant for Dr. Reggiani, and the Fellowship will be available for 2 years, starting in early 2027. This role offers a hybrid working model, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. Application procedure To apply, the candidate should send to
