We are assisting a high-end Italian independent firm in Milan who is looking to strengthen its Banking & Finance team with the appointment of a Mid - Senior Associate with approximately 4–10 years’ experience .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced banking and finance lawyer looking to join a highly regarded Italian firm and take on a senior role with significant autonomy, client exposure and responsibility for coordinating more junior professionals .

The Role

The successful candidate will join a sophisticated transactional practice and advise leading Italian and international clients on a broad range of financing matters, including:

- Acquisition and leveraged finance , supporting sponsors, lenders and borrowers on complex acquisition and LBO financing transactions;
- Corporate finance , advising companies and financial institutions on a variety of lending and financing arrangements;
- Real estate finance , assisting lenders, investors and borrowers on financing transactions relating to real estate investments and developments;
- Negotiation and drafting of financing documentation and transaction-related agreements;
- Due diligence and structuring activities in connection with complex transactions;
- Working alongside the firm's Corporate/M&A;,



Real Estate and other specialist teams on multidisciplinary matters.

The role will offer a high degree of day-to-day autonomy , with the successful candidate expected to take ownership of matters, manage client relationships and coordinate the work of junior lawyers and trainees.

The ideal candidate will have:

- 8–10 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in acquisition/leveraged finance, corporate finance and/or real estate finance ;
- The ability and willingness to coordinate and mentor junior professionals ;
- Excellent academic credentials and a strong technical grounding in banking and finance law;
- Fluent Italian and strong English.
