L. /p pThe Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team is seeking engineers who can deploy, operate, and maintain the facilities (electrical/mechanical systems, control/fire-fighting systems, etc.) and manage related projects at our large-scale, high-density data centers. /p pAs a member of this gender and culturally diverse team, you will have a chance to work with exciting technology in a dynamic environment with expanding opportunities. /p pThe role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to complex technical problems. This is a Mechanical and Electrical (ME) engineering role, managing infrastructure such as diesel generators, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, fire detection systems and building automation systems. You will report to the Data Center Engineering Operations Facilities Manager. /p pAWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) /p pAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a facility owner team member, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture. /li liLead by example in implementing and maintaining AWS safety protocols /li liRespond to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services as needed /li /ul h3ENGINEERING FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE /h3 ul liOperational hands on experience, and deep knowledge with electrical, mechanical, fire protection and control systems, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Water treatment systems, Static Transfer Switch (STS), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), Fire Systems and Transformers. /li liOperate, monitor, and maintain fire detection and suppression systems including pre-action systems, VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus), and other fire protection equipment /li liDraft,



review and publish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP) and Method of Procedures (MOP) for in -house activities. /li liReview vendor documentation for preventative maintenance (e.g. RAMS – Risk Assessment Method of Statement) /li liPerform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, and suppression systems in accordance with AWS standards and local regulations /li liTroubleshoot and resolve straightforward electro-mechanical problems; and collaborates with the engineering team, within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) /li liTake daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.) /li liPerform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance activities on critical infrastructure /li liExecute equipment repairs, replacements, and facility modifications in accordance with AWS standards guidelines. /li liMaintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, and system configurations /li liCollaborate with internal AWS teams on capacity planning and infrastructure improvements /li liSupervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance /li liRespond to alarms and perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs /li liExecute and plan work assignments, using maintenance and change management documents, and by reviewing outstanding action items with your Facility Manager and/or Chief Engineer. /li liTake action to make improvements based on operating experience, assist in the creation of process improvement plans, and provide process improvement feedback to site leadership /li liManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight l
