Offer Description

The Conservatorio “U. Giordano” of Foggia invites applications for two fully funded positions in its three-year PhD programme in Electroacoustic Composition, Sonic Arts and Intermedia Applications.

The programme develops innovative methods and technologies in electroacoustic music and the sonic arts. It integrates other art forms and intermedia technologies such as virtual reality,



artificial intelligence and computer-assisted composition. Candidates carry out an original, substantial research project under the guidance of expert supervisors. Doctoral students are also involved in artistic installations, concert seasons and cultural events, with a particular focus on the musical creativity of Apulia and Southern Italy. They also take part in teaching and tutoring, training modules, seminars, workshops and conferences.

The programme is taught in Italian or English. Doctoral students may spend between 6 and 12 months abroad for study and research.
