Overview

In this D&O Manager role at AIG, you will lead underwriters to achieve profitable growth in Financial Lines and related lines, shaping strategies and coordinating with regional and global product initiatives. You’ll drive new business, manage production metrics, and ensure compliance and effective risk governance. You’ll mentor and develop a team, while building strong broker relationships to expand market presence. This is a hands-on leadership position in a dynamic, office-centric culture that values collaboration and delivery.

Responsabilità

- Directly manage underwriters, tracking progress toward goals
- Achieve and monitor production targets and profitability, including monthly processes
- Drive new business opportunities for facilities and programs
- Track metrics (GPW, NPW, rate, new/lost business, submissions)
- Implement Italy-specific Financial Lines MLC underwriting strategy
- Develop profitable Financial Lines portfolio with channel/go-to-market plans
- Enforce decision-making standards and underwriting authority




- Maintain a robust referral process for accounts
- Maintain and update product pipelines; monitor regulatory/legal changes
- Implement regional/global products affecting the line of business
- Ensure timely reporting of performance estimates
- Maintain regulatory and risk management compliance
- Retain and develop underwriters through training and mentoring
- Develop a clear sales/marketing plan for growth lines
- Review underwriting processes for operational efficiency
- Build relationships with key brokers
- Implement and grow alternative sourcing of business
- Ensure underwriting excellence tools (Raters, AQI, peer reviews) are used correctly
