As Senior Technical Business Developer you will lead growth of ABB's Grid Automation portfolio in the U.S., bridging advanced grid tech with market strategy. You will engage utilities and partners, shape solutions, and influence standards. The role combines technical pre-sales with market development to accelerate adoption of ABB's grid solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to evolve offerings and drive impact in the U.S. grid modernization landscape. This remote role offers visibility into strategic initiatives and a clear path to impact the electricity infrastructure backbone.

Responsabilità
- Lead U.S. market strategy by identifying new utility/industrial opportunities and shaping penetration plans
- Act as grid-automation SME, drive pre-sales activities, and support solution design across architectures and integration workflows
- Influence standards through vPAC and IEEE groups representing ABB
- Build partnerships and represent ABB at industry forums, feeding field insights into product evolution (SSC600, SMU600, CogniEN)
Requisiti fondamentali
- 10+ years in technical business development, preferably in grid automation or power systems
- Deep understanding of U.S. utility market dynamics and standards (IEEE, IEC 61850) and digital substation architectures
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with SaaS or subscription-based business models in the energy sector
- Familiarity with DERMS, DLR, and network state estimation technologies
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
