Overview

As a Solutions Architect for Digital Natives & Scaleups in Italy, you own the technical strategy for Databricks’ core customers, guiding architecture discussions and platform adoption. You combine deep technical expertise with strategic insight to position Databricks as the data and AI foundation for clients. You’ll develop a technical specialization and serve as a trusted advisor to customer technical leads, shaping cross-functional solutions and influencing product direction. This role blends hands-on architecture work with leadership across DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver scalable, production-ready outcomes.

Responsabilità

- Own end-to-end technical strategy from discovery to production deployment and growth
- Lead complex architecture discussions for data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics
- Act as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads
- Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks differentiation through custom solutions
- Develop and evangelize an emerging technical specialization (archetype)
- Coordinate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to fulfill complex needs




- Influence product direction by feeding back customer requirements and competitive gaps

Requisiti fondamentali

- 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or equivalent senior role
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding and debugging demonstrated
- Deep expertise in distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms
- Proficiency with the Databricks Platform with developing specialization in one area (e.g., real-time, ML/AI, data governance, migrations)
- Experience leading architecture discussions with senior stakeholders (whiteboarding, design reviews, trade-offs)
- Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) including security and governance
- Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth
- Excellent communication translating complex architectures to business value for technical and executive audiences
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience)
