Overview
In this role you drive strategic growth by identifying and advancing acquisition and partnership opportunities for thermal assets. You work within the Strategic Growth Thermal unit to shape Alpiq’s thermal growth strategy and support complex transactions. You engage cross-functional teams to assess opportunities, conduct market analysis, and coordinate due diligence and deal execution. This position offers international exposure and a meaningful impact on energy transition and security of supply.

Responsabilità
- Define and update Alpiq's thermal growth strategy as part of portfolio management
- Identify and originate acquisition, partnership and development opportunities; monitor regulatory developments and market evolution
- Conduct preliminary commercial and strategic assessments; support valuation and business case development
- Coordinate deal execution and due diligence with Legal, Finance, Technical teams and external advisers; present investment cases to executive board
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Finance
- At least 5 years of experience in an energy company in business/strategic roles
- Experience in M&A;, business development or strategic projects within the energy sector
- Understanding of European electricity markets and regulatory frameworks; experience in at least two target markets (Italy, Spain, UK, France, Germany, Poland)
- Experience in complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Fluent in English; additional language beneficial
