Overview

As Energy Leader in Italy, you will steer and grow AECOM’s energy business in the Italian market, combining market development, client management, and technical leadership across engineering and environmental services. You’ll drive strategic positioning, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and nurture key client relationships with utilities, IPP, and EPC players. You’ll focus on renewable energy, transmission and distribution, and storage, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and energy transition. This role offers the chance to shape market strategy and lead cross-border collaboration for meaningful impact.

Responsabilità

- Lead, manage and grow the energy business in Italy
- Ensure project delivery on time, budget, and quality
- Collaborate with Energy Sector teams across Europe
- Develop and implement a strategy to strengthen AECOM’s presence in Italy
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, permitting, environmental) and stakeholders
- Foster a great workplace culture, staff engagement and retention
- Attract new talent and lead strategic and senior recruitment
- Act as trusted advisor to clients and provide innovative energy solutions




- Manage strategic relationships with utilities, developers, IPP, investors, and EPC contractors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prepare technical/economic tenders
- Monitor Italian regulatory trends and market opportunities
- Provide strategic insights to position AECOM as a leader in energy transition and sustainability
- Participate in institutional roundtables, industry events, and international initiatives

Requisiti fondamentali

- Master’s degree in Engineering with registration in the Order of Engineers
- At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector
- Experience in renewable energy production, energy transport and distribution, and storage systems
- Business development experience including market analysis and customer relationship management
- Fluent in Italian and English; other languages an advantage
- Deep knowledge of the Italian market, including authorization processes and incentives
- Excellent leadership, team management, and results orientation
