Overview In this role you lead ESA’s Digital, Data and IT Infrastructure and Digital Workplace Division, shaping the Agency’s resilient, secure and scalable technology foundations. You will drive the ongoing modernization of infrastructure, cloud, HPC and end-user services to enable mission delivery and digital transformation. Working under the CDIO, you’ll partner with stakeholders across directorates to ensure interoperability and long-term capability. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership position at a global space agency. You will foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation and continuous improvement, while aligning with ESA’s resilience and sovereignty ambitions. Responsabilità
* Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Agency’s infrastructure, platform and end-user technology capabilities
* Own and evolve ESA’s Agency-wide infrastructure landscape for security, resilience and growth
* Drive modernization of the infrastructure ecosystem (cloud, platform engineering, HPC, digital workplace, shared services)
* Enable the Digital, Data and IT Strategy through reusable, scalable, interoperable platforms
* Oversee collaboration with business, mission and technology stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure
* Manage strategic suppliers, partnerships, investments and delivery organisations for value and sustainability
* Lead transformation and operation of agency-wide digital infrastructure to support mission success
* Build leadership, operating model and teams to deliver future digital,



data and IT ambitions
* Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement across teams, suppliers and stakeholders
* Identify, assess and report health and safety risks in the area of responsibility
* Ensure resilience, sovereignty and dual-use ambitions are supported by secure infrastructure Requisiti fondamentali
* 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in digital technologies, data and IT with substantial leadership responsibility for complex infrastructure and operations
* At least 8 years in senior leadership roles with accountability for large multidisciplinary teams and mission-critical services
* Proven leadership, relationship management and communication skills (oral and written)
* Ability to translate team objectives into evolving organizational goals and context
* Proven track record representing the Agency to external interfaces
* Strong cognitive, analytical, planning and organizational skills
* Ability to anticipate problems, resolve complex issues and make timely decisions with integrity
* People management experience; international experience and experience in diverse functional areas are assets
* Mobility for potential rotation within ESA
