Overview
As a Senior Electrical Engineer in AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Milan, you lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and mission-critical facilities. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative, sustainable solutions. You’ll engage in client meetings and bids, shaping project direction and technical excellence. This role offers impact through complex projects and a global, collaborative culture.

Responsabilità Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services from concept to project completion
Prepare and review calculations, reports, specifications, and design documents
Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
Coordinate activities with other disciplines for integrated project delivery
Manage deliverables, schedules and priorities while maintaining high technical standards
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Participate in client meetings and project reviews, presenting solutions




Support business development through bids, tenders and technical proposals
Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and sustainability standards
Contribute to continuous improvement and technical excellence across the team
Requisiti fondamentali Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years in electrical building services engineering, preferably in consultancy
Fluency in Italian and English
Strong expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and building electrical systems
Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary projects
Solid knowledge of Italian and international codes and standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience coordinating junior engineers and working in multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
International project experience is a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Knowledge of Revit/BIM workflows and electrical design software is a plus
Professional registration or equivalent qualification is a plus
