Love preparing simple, delicious food with good, honest ingredients? We’re looking for a hands-on cook to prepare fresh food for our café and bar, catering services and events.

The role

You’ll work closely with the Bar Manager and front-of-house team to offer food that is fresh, flavourful and thoughtfully presented. From everyday café favourites to sharing platters and event bites, your focus will be on quality ingredients, careful preparation and consistent results.

Your responsibilities

- Prepare sandwiches, salads, light dishes, aperitivo bites and other simple seasonal food.
- Prepare and assemble platters, finger food and catering orders for events.
- Organise daily preparation so food is ready on time for service.
- Receive deliveries, store ingredients correctly and monitor stock and freshness.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment and storage areas clean and organised.
- Follow food hygiene procedures and handle dietary requirements and allergens carefully.
- Coordinate with the bar and service teams during daily operations and events.

About you

- At least 1–2 years of experience in food preparation, a café kitchen, deli or catering.




- A passion for simple, well-made food and fresh ingredients.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and a practical approach.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others during busy service.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian and English.
- Legal authorisation to work in Italy.

Position details

- Start date: 15 November 2026
- Contract: Part-time, Level 4
- Hours: 18 hours per week, across 3 days
- Availability: Friday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Location: On-site at Teatro della Cometa, Rome
