ResponsabilitàThe role ispart of the Flight Management organizational unit of Avionic Systems

Development area.

The unit is responsible for the design, development andqualification/certification activities related to the main on-board,specifically of the software application responsible for the Flight Planningand Sensor Management functions that will be hosted on the target computer.

Sub-System Engineers interface with the Avionic System Engineering functionalarea for all the aspects pertaining to the integration of the computer and itsapplication in the helicopter avionic system.

Other external areas interfacedinclude CPE offices, Flight Test Pilots and Engineers, Procurement and RMSdepartments.

Flight

Management Engineer goals: Analyzeavionic system requirements and customer needs to define subsystem SWrequirements and design solutions for the development and certification ofembedded, real-time, safety critical applications for the Flight Management

System installed on Leonardo Helicopters product lines.

Activitiesand responsibilities of the role include:-understanding customer needs and expected outcome-collaborating with the development team to identify design solutions in linewith expectations and with project guidelines (plans, standards, technical andschedule constraints, budget)-contributing and coordinating the activities necessary to develop and qualifythe computer software application in all its development phases (requirementsdefinition, architectural and detailed design, coding and integration,validation and verification,



design reviews and qualification/certificationaudits)-interfacing and managing suppliers for outsourced activities and for thecomputer platform procurement-coordinating and leading the development and verification team-monitoring and managing the project in terms of schedule, costs and resources

Profilo

Requirements:- Degree intechnical disciplines (e.g.

Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Automation

Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering)- strongproblem solving capabilities and proactive customer satisfaction approach- goodknowledge of spoken and written English- abilityto work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed team- projectmanagement skills-inclination to work in line with standards, rules and objectives- thoroughunderstanding of the entire software development life-cycle

Nice tohave:- 2 to 3years of experience as Avionic Subsystem/SW Engineer or similar role- knowledgeof Real Time Safety Critical Embedded SW development aspects- knowledgeof aeronautical standards and guidelines for safety critical software andsystems development (DO-178, DO-254, DO-160 and MIL-STDs) or similar applicableto other contexts (e.g. automotive or railway standards)- knowledgeof civil and military certification/qualification regulations and processes- SW designand development methodologies (UML, Model Based development, Matlab/Simulinkmodeling and testing)- knowledgeof Aeronautical standard communication protocols and interfaces (i.e.





Arinc429, Arinc 664/AFDX and Arinc 653; Arinc 661)- knowledgeof Ada, C/C++ programming languages-validation and verification methodologies
