Overview
In this role, you will design and validate mechanical, thermal, and opto-mechanical solutions for photonic modules, enabling robust, manufacturable products. You'll collaborate with photonics, electrical, and software teams to move concepts through prototyping to high-volume production, focusing on thermal management, tolerance control, and scalable fixtures. Your work supports a multidisciplinary push to deliver integrated optical devices and modules that meet performance and reliability targets. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at the intersection of design, testing, and manufacturing scale-up.
Responsabilità
Design enclosures and thermal interfaces that integrate photonic and electronic hardware
Develop thermal management solutions and perform thermal simulations to optimize heat dissipation and temperature stability
Conduct tolerance analysis including thermal effects to ensure proper alignment and performance
Collaborate with optical, hardware, electrical, and software engineers on integrated product solutions
Improve calibration and test setups with fixtures and tooling for accuracy, repeatability, and scalability




Support transition from prototypes to high-volume production with manufacturability and cost considerations
Requisiti fondamentali
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3+ years hands-on mechanical design and thermal simulation experience
Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering drawings including GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis
Strong understanding of heat transfer, material properties, and structural mechanics with focus on deformation and dimensional stability
Experience using thermal and structural analysis tools with hands-on testing/validation
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material selection, DFM, and assembly
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
