OverviewIn this role you will lead second-line risk activities to safeguard TrueLayer's Pay by Bank offerings across the UK and Europe.
You'll translate complex risk data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders and ensure controls and mitigations are effective as the business scales.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory confidence and support safe growth.
This position offers hands-on influence over risk management in a fast-moving fintech.

ResponsabilitàFacilitate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across business units
Maintain and quality-check the corporate risk register with KRIs and owners
Coordinate independent control testing and track remediation
Conduct risk impact analyses for structural changes and regulatory shifts
Perform scenario analyses and stress testing for tail-risk events
Prepare concise, data-driven board and regulatory dashboards and reports
Execute end-to-end NPAP for new product features and cross-border capabilities




Assess product safeguarding to ensure funds are protected under FCA, CBI, and Swedish FSA rules
Perform risk assessments of critical third-party vendors and cloud infrastructure
Manage customer risk profiling and monitoring, including exposure analysis and threshold setting
Requisiti fondamentaliExperience in risk management (Second Line of Defence) within a regulated payment institution, EMI, or fintech
Proven track record running RCSA cycles, product risk reviews, and customer risk matrices
Strong regulatory knowledge of European and UK payments rules (PSD2/PSD3, FCA Operational Resilience)
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, risk trend identification, and KPI dashboards
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Ability to operate in a matrixed, multi-jurisdictional team and present to Boards
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Curious and pragmatic
Independent-minded with constructive challenging of assumptions
Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
Advanced Excel for data extraction and KPI dashboards
