Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher will engage in full-time, on-site research activities based in Naples, contributing to ongoing projects within the relevant department or research center. Daily responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with faculty members, doctoral candidates, and other researchers. The role involves preparing manuscripts, conference presentations, and grant proposals, as well as participating in seminars, group meetings, and interdisciplinary initiatives at the university. Depending on departmental needs,



the Postdoctoral Researcher may also support teaching activities, such as assisting with courses, mentoring students, and supervising laboratory work. The position requires active participation in the academic life of the institution, adherence to research ethics and safety standards, and contribution to the visibility and impact of the university’s research output. Qualifications
• Strong Laboratory Skills, including experimental design, use of scientific instrumentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Demonstrated Research experience, with a track record of publications or conference contributions and the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Solid background in Physics, or a closely related field, with the capacity to apply theoretical and experimental knowledge to advanced research questions.
• Proficiency in Data Analysis, including statistical methods, numerical modeling, and use of relevant software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, or similar).
• Teaching and mentoring abilities, such as supporting courses, guiding students in laboratory activities, and contributing to academic supervision.
• PhD in Physics or a related discipline, completed or near completion at the time of appointment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian is an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate in an international and multidisciplinary environment and to meet project deadlines and research objectives.
