Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess Italian or EU citizenship, or have a long-term EU residence permit if from outside the EU. They should also have the necessary educational qualifications and be physically fit for the role. Immediate availability for the 2026-2027 season is required.
Applications must be submitted by January 1, 2027. Participation is free, but candidates are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses. Required documents include a valid ID, CV, diploma or equivalent certification, and a declaration of any professional or personal ties to current employees of the foundation. Late applications or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
Auditions will take place at the Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo,



with preliminary rounds scheduled for January 22 and 24, 2027. Candidates must prepare specific orchestral excerpts and may be asked to perform sight-reading. The foundation will provide an accompanying pianist. A maximum of three candidates will be invited to a third round, which involves a three-week period with different symphonic programs. The final ranking will be published and valid for one year.
