pThe bSenior Electrochemist /bwill play a key role in shaping battery testing and validation capability, supporting the development of next-generation energy storage materials and cell technologies.
Working at the interface between research and industrialisation, you will lead electrochemical investigations, establish testing methodologies and ensure high-quality data supports future product development and manufacturing activities.
/ppThe bSenior Electrochemist /b will be responsible for: /pulliLeading cell validation electrochemical investigations activities for advanced battery materials and cell technologies.
/liliResearch team are coming up with chemistries formulations, they will then interface with you on validation.
/liliInterdepartmental collaboration i,e.
modelling, degradation mechanisms /liliDesigning and implementing test methodologies for cylindrical, pouch and prismatic cell formats.
/liliDefining equipment requirements and supporting the development of testing capabilities within the facility.
/liliConducting and interpreting galvanostatic charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry (CV), EIS, rate capability and cycle-life studies.




/liliCoordinating validation programmes, including oversight of third-party testing activities.
/liliAnalysing electrochemical data to identify performance improvements and degradation mechanisms.
/li /ulpThe bSenior Electrochemist /b will have: /pulliA PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.
/liliIndustrial experience within battery manufacturing, a gigafactory environment or an independent testing organisation.
/liliHands-on experience testing cylindrical, pouch and prismatic battery cells.
/liliExpertise in electrochemical characterisation techniques, including galvanostatic testing, CV, EIS and cycle-life analysis.
/liliExperience assembling and testing battery cells.
/liliStrong data analysis and interpretation skills.
/li /ulpThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on electrochemical testing with technical leadership, helping to bridge the gap between research and large-scale deployment.
