Field Service Engineer II will provide post-sale technical support for da Vinci surgical systems across an assigned territory in Rome. The role involves managing customer relationships, coordinating installations, scheduling maintenance, and delivering technical training independently.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for all da Vinci surgical platforms and manage customer escalations
Plan system installations, coordinate with customers, and schedule preventative and emergency maintenance visits
Troubleshoot system functionality and deliver technical training in operating room environments
Manage administrative tasks including spare parts inventory, service contracts, and maintenance documentation




Support sales and marketing events by identifying potential issues and developing resolution strategies
Requirements
College degree in applied science or engineering, or equivalent training and experience
3–7 years field service engineering experience; medical device experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication abilities
Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures
Proven troubleshooting skills with complex electro-mechanical systems
Solid track record of customer relationships with surgeons and hospital staff
Ability to travel up to 50% as required
