Each day you will ensure architectural consistency, risk reduction, and strategic alignment across ABB’s decentralized operating model, while enabling local autonomy and innovation. You will also act as the custodian of architectural decision making, standards, and guardrails. You will be balancing enterprise coherence with domain and product team agility, making sure that EA rules and practices are embedded into the organization’s operating model. This role has three/ four people reporting into it. /ppThe work model for the role is: /ph3You Will Be Mainly Accountable For /h3ulliArchitecture GovernanceulliGoverning and operating the enterprise architecture governance model, including decision rights, escalation paths, and review forums. /liliEnsuring architecture choices are transparent, traceable, and aligned with enterprise strategy. /liliEmbedding governance into delivery processes (e.g., portfolio, product, and investment lifecycles). /liliOverseeing governance boards across the organization and making sure that relevant decentralized governance is in place.



/li /ul /liliPractice DevelopmentulliDefining and maintaining EA practice standards, frameworks, and methodologies aligned with industry best practices (e.g., TOGAF) and organizational strategy. /liliEstablishing governance processes for architecture reviews, compliance and selection. /liliTraining and support for architects and business consumers. /li /ul /liliEnablement Community BuildingulliDriving initiatives to strengthen the EA community through training, knowledge sharing, and collaboration platforms. /liliPromoting adoption of EA tools (e.g., Ardoq) and ensuring effective onboarding and usage across domains. /liliActing as a champion for the EA repository and toolset and driving cultural change by fostering a "community-led architecture" mindset. /li /ul /liliStandards Reference ArchitectureulliOwning and maintaining enterprise architecture standards and policies across business, data, application, technology, security, and integration domains. /li /ul /liliContinuous ImprovementulliMeasuring governance effectiveness using defined KPIs (e.g., reuse, compliance, time-to-decision), continuously improving standards, governance processes, and tooling and staying current with industry best practices and evolving architectural trends. /li /ul /li /ulh3Qualifications For The Role /h3ulliBachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science,



or related field /lili8+ years in Enterprise Architecture or related roles, with at least 3 years in practice enablement or governance /liliProven experience in implementing EA frameworks, tools, and governance processes in a global organization /liliExperience in decentralized, multi-domain, or federated operating models /liliStrong understanding of EA domains (business, application, data, technology) /liliFamiliarity with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Ardoq, ArchiMate) /liliTOGAF or equivalent EA framework certification preferred /liliExcellent communication and facilitation skills /liliAbility to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels /liliStrong governance, risk, and standards management capability /li /ulpbThis opportunity is open to candidates in multiple countries, with the final work location determined based on the selected candidate.
