DESIGNER

Purpose La posizione si propone di creare modelli di suole tecniche per il mondo outdoor, work & safety e di modelli accattivanti per il mondo Lifestyle e Fashion.

Tali modelli saranno realizzati inizialmente a mano libera e successivamente con l’ausilio di software (pacchetto Adobe).

I modelli creati saranno utilizzati per comunicare idee che stimolino, informino e attraggano i consumatori, e che siano pertinenti al brief iniziale, relativamente al mondo delle suole per calzature e altri componenti in gomma che necessitano performance tecniche.

La posizione riporta all’Innovation Design & Development Manager.

Main responsibilities

- Insieme al Senior Designer, al Team Vendite e al Tester Team, si rapporta direttamente con il cliente, per raccogliere il brief e analizzare possibili soluzioni, proporre le tecnologie appropriate per realizzare il progetto richiesto

- Per la realizzazione di progetti ‘esclusivi’, come componente del team di sviluppo prodotto, fornisce indicazioni al cliente sulle tempistiche di realizzazione del prototipo (stampo campione), seguendo step by step le fasi di sviluppo (sketch a mano libera, blue print, mock-up e stampo campione)

- Per la realizzazione di progetti “open”, si interfaccia con Team Vendite, Marketing e Tester Team, per raccogliere e proporre brief di prodotto, per poi proporre soluzioni finalizzate alla presentazione di proposte di design che enfatizzino le tecnologie sviluppate in ambito R&D; (ricerca e sviluppo)

- Col supporto dei Senior Designer e dei developer, sviluppa il layout generale (proposte estetiche), fornisce indicazioni per lo sviluppo del Blue Print (2D) e del file 3D, considerando le eventuali problematiche d’industrializzazione del prodotto ed eventualmente apportando le modifiche necessarie per la produzione dello stesso, in linea con le differenti tecnologie Vibram

- Esegue disegni, interpretando le richieste del cliente e applica il proprio know-how per la realizzazione di prodotti consoni alle esigenze dell’utilizzo finale e in linea con il brief.



Per questa attività avrà facoltà di interfacciarsi direttamente col cliente con il supporto dei Senior Designers e del Team Vendite

- Aggiornamento costantemente sulle tendenze di mercato, per poter proporre anche progetti a lungo termine, che includano le tecnologie Vibram nuove o già industrializzate.

Skills

- Diploma o laurea ad indirizzo tecnico, oppure di Design Industriale, stilistico
- Precedente esperienza competente o di stage di circa 1 anno in ruolo simile
- Attitudine al lavoro di squadra
- Spirito di iniziativa e interesse per la propria formazione
- Uso dei seguenti programmi applicativi (Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino, pacchetto Office)
- Spiccate abilità nel disegno manuale e doti creative
- Ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese
- Project & time management
- Adattabilità delle proprie soluzioni di design agli standard tecnici e qualitativi di Vibram
- Passione per il mondo outdoor e per il mondo della calzatura
- Curiosità per le nuove tecnologie e ricerca di tendenze anche al di fuori del mondo calzaturiero

Job Title

DESIGNER

Purpose The role involves designing technical soles for the outdoor and work & safety sectors, as well as eye-catching designs for the lifestyle and fashion sectors.

Designs will initially be drawn freehand and then developed using software (Adobe suite).

The designs will be used to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and attract consumers,



while meeting the initial brief for footwear soles and other rubber components requiring technical performance.

The role reports to the Innovation Design & Development Manager.

Workplace: Albizzate (VA).

Main responsibilities

- Together with the Senior Designer, Sales Team and Tester Team, liaises directly with clients to gather briefs, analyses potential solutions and propose appropriate technologies to deliver the requested project.

- For exclusive projects, as a member of the product development team, the position advises clients on prototype (sample mould) lead times, following each development stage step by step: freehand sketch, blueprint, mock-up and sample mould.

- For open projects, interacts with the Sales, Marketing and Tester Teams to gather and propose product briefs, then develops design proposals that highlight technologies developed through R&D; (research and development).

- With support from Senior Designers and developers, the role develops the overall layout (aesthetic proposals) and provides guidance for the development of the 2D blueprint and 3D file, taking potential product industrialization issues into account and making any changes needed for production, in line with the various Vibram technologies.

- Creating drawings by interpreting client requests and applying design expertise to develop products suited to their intended use and aligned with the brief. For this activity, the role collaborates directly with clients with support from the Senior Designers and Sales Team.

- Keeping up to date with market trends to propose longer-term projects incorporating new or already industrialized Vibram technologies.

Skills

- Diploma or degree in technical field, industrial design or fashion design
- Approximately 1 year of previous professional or internship experience in a similar role
- Teamworking
- Initiative and a commitment to ongoing learning
- Proficiency in the following software: Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino and Microsoft Office
- Strong freehand drawing skills and creativity
- Excellent command of English
- Project and time management
- Ability to adapt design solutions to Vibram technical and quality standards

- Curiosity about new technologies and an interest in exploring trends beyond the footwear industry
