Overview In this role you will lead civil design for roads, utilities and drainage within Arup’s European South team. You’ll guide multidisciplinary projects from feasibility to construction, delivering safe, sustainable and coordinated infrastructure solutions for data centres, energy, water, transport and urban development. You’ll collaborate with international colleagues to resolve design interfaces and ensure high-quality technical deliverables. * Lead design and coordination of roads, water supply, drainage and dry utility networks from concept to detailed design
* Act as technical lead for roads, utilities and drainage packages on complex developments
* Develop and review hydraulic calculations, drainage models, network sizing and stormwater solutions
* Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and BIM disciplines
* Ensure calculations, models,



drawings and reports meet client requirements and technical standards
* Provide guidance and quality oversight to engineers and designers
* Review engineering deliverables and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
* Support planning, design and delivery across sectors including energy, water, transport, data centres and urban development Requisiti fondamentali
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* 6+ years of experience in roads, drainage or related areas
* Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or comparable packages
* Ability to lead technical packages and review deliverables
* Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams
* Interest in digital design, BIM and automation
* Background in consultancy, contractor, utility or public-sector environments
