To strengthen the Technology Transfer Automotive & Automation Unit, we are looking for a motivated junior technical expert who wants to develop professional expertise in Sustainable Manufacturing and contribute to applied innovation projects with companies and research partners. The focus includes resource- and energy-efficient production, circular manufacturing, industrial decarbonisation, sustainable materials and processes, life-cycle thinking, and data-enabled production optimisation.

you will in particular be responsible for:

- Innovation and Sustainability
You analyze technological and sustainability-related challenges in manufacturing companies and develop innovative solutions for the industry of the future together with the team.




- Research and Funding Projects
You support the design, planning, and implementation of innovation, research, and funding projects, as well as pilot activities.
- Technology Scouting and Networking
You identify emerging technologies, market trends, and suitable cooperation partners, connecting companies with key research and innovation stakeholders.
- Knowledge Transfer and Community Building
You contribute to the organization and delivery of workshops, company visits, industry events, and other knowledge-sharing and networking formats.
- Project and Stakeholder Management
You support the management of projects and stakeholders, maintain relevant data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

You are the ideal candidate if you:

- hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, materials science, energy engineering, environmental engineering, automation engineering or a related field.
- have initial practical experience, internships, academic projects or research exposure in manufacturing, sustainability, industrial processes, automation, materials or applied R&D.;




- are interested in technologies and methods such as energy and resource efficiency, circular manufacturing, industrial decarbonisation, life-cycle assessment, carbon footprinting, eco-design, process monitoring or digital twins.
- can analyse technical information, apply established methods to defined tasks and communicate findings clearly.
- have basic project-management and organisational skills and are willing to learn about technology transfer, innovation funding and collaboration between industry and research.
- demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, reliability, initiative, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently under guidance.
- enjoy working with companies, researchers, start-ups and public stakeholders in an applied innovation environment.
- have an excellent command of German and Italian and a good knowledge of English.
