Overview As Deel’s DevOps Team Lead, you will guide a global team to build scalable, reliable infrastructure. You partner with developers and CloudOps to accelerate automation, CI/CD, and observability across multi-account AWS setups. You own governance, security, and cost optimization while driving incident response and disaster recovery. You’ll empower engineers with self-service tooling and maintain high delivery velocity in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You help shape Deel’s infrastructure for the future of work. * Lead and mentor a global DevOps engineering team
* Collaborate with developers, CloudOps and automation engineers to improve efficiency, scale, reliability and observability
* Continuously improve CI/CD, IaC and monitoring practices
* Own multiple AWS environments across accounts, including governance, IAM, secrets, security and cost optimization
* Own reliability activities: on-call, incident response, post-mortems, SLOs, disaster recovery and capacity planning
* Build self-service tooling and golden paths so engineers work independently within shared standards




* Identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities and implement fixes
* Set priorities and report to engineering leadership Requisiti fondamentali
* 2+ years managing DevOps/SRE/Platform teams
* 5+ years as a DevOps engineer
* Deep knowledge of AWS (multi-account, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache) and networking (VPC, DNS, load balancing, service mesh)
* Hands-on Kubernetes expertise (EKS) including cluster design, upgrades, multi-cluster ops, service mesh, Crossplane, cluster autoscalers, ingress controllers, network policies, RBAC, workload security and resource tuning)
* IaC experience (Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi/Crossplane)
* CI/CD and GitOps experience (GitHub Actions/Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux, Helm)
* Scripting in Python, Node.js or Bash
* Database and messaging experience (PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)
* Observability experience (Prometheus Stack, Coralogix/DataDog, OpenTelemetry)
* Security and compliance experience (SOC 2/ISO)
* Production uptime, DR and incident troubleshooting
