• Engineering Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting Property &

• Engineering risks, conducting risk assessments through preliminary data analysis and selection, and ensuring high-quality, timely responses to the sales network. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset and will work closely with brokers, building trusted relationships and demonstrating excellent negotiation skills. The position is based in Milan and reports directly to the Underwriting Director – Engineering &

• Construction. Handle quotation requests for various types of Property &

• Engineering risks in line with the Line of Business risk appetite. Underwrite both standard and non-standard policies including CAR, EAR, IDI, Machinery Breakdown, Leasing, EEI, CPE, Property All Risks through technical analysis, risk evaluation, and pricing. Support monitoring portfolio performance and underwriting results. Define and implement product and pricing strategies within the Line of Business. Review and analyze Loss Prevention and Technical Control reports. Manage the portfolio through the analysis of renewals, policy revisions and remarketing opportunities, maintaining a strong client-centric approach. Deliver technical and commercial training and support to agents and brokers. Degree in Engineering, scientific or technical disciplines, or equivalent professional experience Significant experience in Property &

• Engineering underwriting ideally gained in a senior underwriting role within an insurance company, MGA, or brokerage environment.



Strong experience in underwriting large and complex risks, including international insurance programmes. Proactive, with strong commercial orientation and goal-focused attitude Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Fluent written and spoken English.

Compensation and Benefits This role offers a gross annual salary in the range of EUR 65,000 to EUR 75,000, determined by your relevant experience and/or professional qualifications, as well as the scope and level of responsibility.

Variable Pay: In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for variable compensation, including an annual discretionary premio.
