Manufacturing Engineer – Automated Manufacturing

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for an established international manufacturing company specialising in advanced industrial technologies and automated production systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in automated assembly, manufacturing process optimisation and continuous improvement to play a key role in improving production performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and production teams to improve equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, optimise manufacturing processes and support new automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity and product quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support automated assembly lines, including robotic systems, pick-and-place equipment, automatic feeders and palletising systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime and manufacturing costs.
- Support automation projects involving production capacity expansion and equipment upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new product introduction (NPI) activities.
- Assist in developing new manufacturing processes and evaluating production costs.
- Prepare technical documentation, work instructions and process improvement reports.
- Explore opportunities to introduce new technologies,



automation and AI-driven improvements.
- Monitor manufacturing performance against safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or a similar industrial role.
- Hands-on experience with automated assembly and manufacturing systems .
- Experience with equipment such as pick-and-place systems, automatic feeders, palletising lines, 6-axis robots or SCARA robots.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment troubleshooting and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and production teams.
- Fluent Italian and English , both written and spoken.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Desirable Experience
- Automated assembly machinery and robotic production systems.
- PLC-controlled production equipment.
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S or Six Sigma.
- Equipment upgrades, commissioning or process improvements.
- Manufacturing automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- New product introduction and production line optimisation.
- Experience identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving manufacturing efficiency.
