Within Leonardo's Space Division, e-GEOS, an ASI (20%) and Telespazio (80%) company, is one of the main international operators in the Earth Observation and geospatial information sector, offering a unique portfolio of application services. Within the "User Segment System Engineering" organizational unit at the Matera space center, we are looking for a resource to fill the position of "SW developer" with knowledge of System Engineering principles, capable of contributing to both software development and system engineering activities and evolutionary technical support. The ideal candidate possesses a solid background in backend development, a good understanding of system architectures, and familiarity with modern automation tools and AI-assisted development. Main responsibilities:





- Definition of functional system requirements based on user and product requirements agreed with the Business Developer
- Design and development of enterprise software solutions according to requirements
- Technical analysis and architectural design of application components and integrated systems
- Development and maintenance of backend applications and software services
- Definition, configuration, and management of CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation
- Execution of functional testing, integration, and technical validation activities for developed solutions
- Installation, configuration, and release in test and production environments
- Second and third level corrective and evolutionary maintenance activities
- Troubleshooting and analysis of application and system anomalies
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in Agile and DevOps contexts
- Technical interface and operational coordination with suppliers and technological partners
- Production and updating of technical and configuration documentation
- Use of AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity, code quality, and automate technical activities

Skills:

- Good knowledge of Java, Python, Typescript languages
- Experience with common frameworks such as Spring and Angular




- Knowledge of enterprise software architectures and backend development
- Experience with relational databases and ORM
- Knowledge of software versioning systems (Git)
- Experience in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines through tools like Gitlab or Atlassian suite
- Basic knowledge of system administration and Linux environments
- Technical analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in containerized environments (docker / kubernetes)
- English language: B2 level
- Strong proactive attitude and problem-solving orientation
- Ability to tackle complex problems with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach
- Lateral thinking and ability to identify innovative and effective solutions even outside conventional approaches
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to heterogeneous technical contexts

Preferred requirements:

- Experience in second and third level maintenance activities
- Experience in application troubleshooting and operational support
- Experience with cloud environments or virtualized infrastructures
- Knowledge of AI-based tools for software development (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor)
- Experience in enterprise, industrial, or mission-critical contexts

Education: Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering or similar with at least 2 years of experience in the role
